Poets |
| These minstrel figures, very Renaissance-like, in their beautiful and shimmery fabrics, are the story tellers. The mysterious lack of facial features combined with the theatrical gesturing of the figures lead our imaginations to wander and wonder – who was this person? A singer? A Poet? An actor? A merchant trader? A courtesan? The ability to interact with art is as important as the actual piece, and it is my hope these figures trigger questions in you. They are wood and wire armatures, wrapped and covered in cloth, draped and dressed, and finally embellished by hand, with hundreds of tiny beads sewn to the figures. |
